Job Description
- Develop new products from concept through testing to production.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to assess market potential for new products.
- Oversee the progress and timeliness of engineering and technical projects.
- Review project reports to ensure they remain on schedule and within budget.
- Plan and coordinate the work of engineering staff and assign responsibilities.
- Recruit and onboard engineering team members as needed.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Implement best-practice engineering methods and maintain technical standards.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and top management.
- Develop departmental goals and strategies that support organizational objectives.
- Present technical plans and budgets to top management.
- Identify and implement cost-efficiency improvements.
- Provide training and mentoring to technical staff.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on project and team performance.
Job Requirements
- Implement technical office policies and procedures in line with company standards.
- Analyze project contract documents including timelines, BOQ, and design drawings.
- Maintain and update the shop drawing log and ensure timely submissions to consultants.
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) for any missing or unclear technical details.
- Review and coordinate approval processes for sub-contractor and outsourced shop drawings.
- Work closely with the Surveying Engineer to provide necessary land coordinates and measurements.
- Report and support the resolution of unexpected technical issues during construction.
- Communicate construction-related problems to the Technical Office Manager for resolution.
- Prepare and deliver accurate as-built drawings at project completion to the project consultant.
