Job Description
- Manage, monitor, and control assigned projects as outlined in the agreements of the project execution plan to requirements/specifications, engineering scope documents, schedule, security, quality, safety, logistics, lay down, performance, mobilization, and Follow current procurement and cost control Flow Charts.
- Manage and execute projects including but not limited to: Estimating scope and authoring funding packages.
- Assist in setting up cost tracking documents.
- Author and source (with Wood purchasing) Request for Proposals for engineering & construction contracts.
- Schedule and lead design reviews and construction meetings.
- Be intimately familiar with the scope of the project and engineering information.
- Manage daily construction work and interface.
- Work with our client contact for daily work permits.
- Hold construction accountable to scope execution
- Document and track project controls.
- Track, document and manage cost, quality, schedule, and safety.
- Track and document savings opportunities on all projects.
- Assist in working production downtime requirements.
- Provide project turnover documentation.
- Upon request utilize LEAN design and construction methods as the operating system for Integrated Project Delivery
- Single point contact for our clients and contractors.
- When necessary write scope documents based on drawings or intent for bid purposes and installation information.
- Provide input including risk management, cost, constructability, schedule, logistics, and qualified bidders.
- Be an active part of the sourcing team to evaluate the best value contracting methods.
- Participate in Pre-Bids, Bid Clarifications, and project meetings to provide consistent field execution among all contractors.
- Be an active participant in all project phases (including start-up) to help champion and document constructability savings.
- Provide daily audits of site capital work. Document variances and follow-up until acceptable.
- Conduct contractor site weekly meetings to provide alignment of site issues.
- Provide input to project estimates and assist with the leg work on larger estimates.
- Verify change orders to acceptable cost, proper scope, schedule impacts, and per contractual documents.
- Verify daily reports, timesheets, and materials on all T&M projects per our client auditing requirements. Approved materials to leave the site via Material Pass Out form.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the same position with proven experience in the mechanical / installation & maintenance.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Must have leadership skills & high management skills.
