Job Description

SPARK is a high-performance modest sportswear brand engineered in Germany and made in Egypt, aiming to empower women through sport. Together with female athletes from national teams worldwide SPARK has developed its high-performance sportswear range at their research facility in Stuttgart, Germany. The three-pillar system: comfort, security, and fit enable female athletes to focus on the sport and refrain from having to constantly adjust their outfits because slipping hijabs, tops riding up or layered outfits that accumulate too much heat. All SPARK fabrics are cooling, UV50+ resistant and hypoallergenic (do not cause skin irritations) and are suitable for any sport.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, drive and manage strategic business planning processes on a mid-and long-term basis
  • Design, introduce and plan SPARKs operations processes related to production and retail together with head of brand
  • Train and manage respective employees
  • Deliver regular analysis and status report to head of brand
  • Manage the collection and analysis of data to achieve lean processes and business growth using ERP system and excel
  • Plan and manage SPARK production process together with production manager and be accountable for achieving all productivity and quality targets.
  • Plan and manage SPARK b2b and b2c related processes together with retail coordinator.
  • Utilize all excel sheets & systems to update the stock list of raw materials & finished goods
  • Analyze the sales of goods in order to forecast the production quantity
  • Ensure supplier & customer payments
  • Review stock in retailer warehouses
  • Order & coordinate raw materials to be sent to the respective manufacturer from SPARK warehouse and
  • Coordinate delivery of accessories, fabrics, finished products
  • Coordinate delivery of finished goods to retailers
  • Organize all related paperwork of deliveries above
  • Ensure on-time delivery of production at garment manufacturers and intervene if there are any quality or delivery issues
  • Coordinate finished product delivery from manufacture to SPARK warehouse
  • Coordinate warehouse entry of finished products at SPARK warehouse
  • Maintain SPARK accessory, fabric, finished products ordered, and delivery tracking list (Excel)
  • Right-hand to the Operations Manager

TASKS INCLUDE:

  • Employee selection together with HR responsible
  • Strategy/ process planing and implementation
  • Budget planning
  • Costing, pricing, pricing strategy
  • Logistics planning together with retail coordinator

Job Requirements

PURPOSE :

SPARK performance sports is looking for an operations manager responsible for designing, introducing and supervising business related processes. We are looking for a smart, analytical, and innovative leader with a thorough understanding of production and retail operation processes in a scalable way that will support rapid growth. This position offers the opportunity to grow a successful start-up businesses and potentially become a partner in the business.

The candidate will be actively involved in SPARKs business strategy and therefore has to possess good business judgment, supply chain experience, and strong skills in working collaboratively and cross-functionally. The candidate must also have a proven track record of delivering results. He or she will have strong analytical capabilities, including experience in handling analytical data sets. This individual will be a strong people manager with the ability to effectively manage a team with varying levels of experience. The position requires an individual who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and fast pace environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience operating in production related operations.
  • Good understanding of financial planning.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Arabic, both oral and written, with ability to effectively and efficiently interact with team and superiours,
  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office suite

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business or finance and 5 or more years of related industry experience.
