Job Description

  • Implement Castrol Egypt (JV) Sales & Trade Marketing strategy by translating it into clear Annual, Monthly Sales & Trade Marketing Plans.
  • Oversee TED’s planning cycle and lead the planning process, establishing targets through an annual TED Scorecard
  • Contribute key insights to annual TED planning and budgeting process and provide advice and recommendations to the annual financial plan, budget and budget control report
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through adapting to changes in international standards, changes in the business environment and adoption of best practices from the Castrol and TAQA organizations.
  • Deliver key performance KPI’s: Volume, Gross Margin, Unit Gross Margin, Gross Turnover, Premiumization Ratio, Cash, Rebates, Cost and Overdues.
  • Drive financial prudence – regular reviews of TED’s financial performance and cost structure. Drive opportunities and champion initiatives that enable TED to improve cost-efficiencies and financial returns.
  • Ensure a robust network of capable Distributor partners.
  • Lead and Manage TED’s Distributor Network operating to agreed Business Plans, and continuously seeking opportunities to optimize and improve coverage, penetration and market share in the defined market sectors (without compromising our overall strategy).
  • Drive “sell through” relationships with customers and intermediaries not “sell to”.
  • Financially analysis of Distributor performance to monitor return on investment and cash flow, to ensure long term viability.
  • Transfer of capability and passion for our brands to customers’ whole organization is critical to the sustainability of our strategy.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental behaviors
  • Oversee the resolution of escalated non-compliance to policies and procedures in order to foster a safety, health and environment culture, mitigate risks, and protect TED’s interests
  • Ensure that all activities conducted through 3rd parties or intermediaries in country comply fully with CoC and local competition legalization. Ensure compliance with country regulations

Job Requirements

Educational background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required.
  • A Master’s degree would be preferred.
  • English & Arabic – Fluent Speak, Read, Write

Experience (depth and nature)

  • 12 - 15 years of experience in FMCG, Tyres, Paints, Auto Components Industry, with at least 5-6 years of experience in a Sales Leadership role.
  • Demonstrated capability in Sales, Sales Operations, Distributor Management, , Channel Development is a pre-requisite.
  • Experience of RTM Planning, Trade Marketing would be preferred.
  • Previous exposure to a Start Up environment would be an advantage.
