Job Description

A multinational petroleum company is hiring Marine Account Manager

Job Purpose :

  • The job holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company's Marine and Marketing business strategy in Egypt.
  • Proactively engage in dialogue with influential business leaders in the marine lubricants industry via technology providers, ship owners, overseas blenders / marketers & re seller's network.
  • Meet planned sales targets, with focused approach to utilize existing lubricants distributors and to expand into new core marine lubricants markets; develop new business opportunities via various marketing techniques such as advertising, market research and sales promotions.

Principal Accountability :

  • Determine and formulate policies, business strategies, plans and provide overall direction to the marine lubricants unit in Egypt.
  • Identify, implement optimal structure and establish priorities to enable successful and effective execution.
  • Engage and coordinate with other unit managers to promote our brand according to the company strategy.
  • Determine the requirements for the marine supply chain and establish management networks of key interfaces.
  • Ensure effective communication with higher management and promote plans maximizing the interest in developing supply locations globally.
  • Propose forecast input and develop KPIs to facilitate ongoing performance monitoring the delivery of volume and gross margin against planned targets.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales force, apply analytical and business environment knowledge to identify and initiate opportunities developing existing and potential customers.
  • Develop technical programs (field engineering services) that shall provide value added services to our customers and leads to increase the revenue.
  • Build and develop a marine customer service center focused on flawless execution of activities following the ongoing global ports and services guide.
  • Ensure a strong focus on accounts receivables and provide guidance on accounts receivable targets, utilize the team knowledge on best practice sharing across segments and countries

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Min of 5 years work experience at senior level with a major oil company in a marketing and sales role.
  • Min. of 3 years in Marine Lubricants management role.
  • Possess good detailed knowledge of the marine industry and industry standards and excellent contacts in the marine markets
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with a strong customer focus
  • Must have excellent English communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, dynamic, proactive, with excellent analytical thinking
