Job Description

  • Plans, develops and implements the organization’s HR functions and ensures effective delivery of all HR services.
  • Ensures the organization’s strategic and operational business plans are supported by all HR policies and programs.
  • Develops recruitment and staffing strategies to identify internal candidates for future promotion and to ensure vacancies are filled on a timely basis.
  • Ensures all HR policies, programs and procedures are followed by all departments at the hospital, including:
  • Recruitment procedures and workforce planning.
  • Performance improvement and development (Annual and probationary appraisals satisfactorily completed on all employees).
  • Code of conduct and discipline policies are understood and enforced by all hospital HODs.
  • Annual performance awards and employee recognition programs are completed objectively accurately and fairly… Recommends awards to the senior management team.
  • Manages the HR and payroll systems database and functionality to ensure accuracy, appropriate reporting and security of access to inform.
  • Provides advice, support and direction to HODs on all matters related to dealing and resolving people issues.
  • Develops HR planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent “gaps” and implements appropriate recruitment plans… This includes competency assessment succession, career planning, and the identification of development and learning strategies.
  • Continuously reviews HR policies, programs and processes to ensure they are meeting the strategic and operational needs of the organization.
  • Evaluates and directs the performance of members of the HR team in respect of their efficiency, productivity and overall effectiveness and establishes development action plans where necessary.
  • Participates in quality systems and projects.

Job Requirements

  • Education: University degree and post graduate university degree, preferably in HR, business or hospital administration
  • Experience : Minimum 15 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare organization, 3 years of them in the same position or 5 years in a managerial level.
  • Training : HR Diploma, MBA
  • Skills:
  • HR program completion and certificate.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong English language skills.
