Job Description

Oversee the technical design and engineering activities related to facilities projects.
Develop design concepts, specifications, and drawings for building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards in facility design and construction.
Coordinate with other departments, stakeholders, and consultants to ensure effective project execution.
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of design deliverables.
Conduct quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with design standards and specifications.
Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
Monitor and address any design-related issues or discrepancies during the project lifecycle.
Provide technical support during the construction phase of facilities projects.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Collaborate with facility management teams to optimize the operation and maintenance of building systems.
Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing facilities to identify opportunities for improvements.
Develop maintenance plans, procedures, and schedules for facility systems and equipment.
Provide technical guidance on troubleshooting and resolving facility-related issues.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the Facilities Technical Office.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities engineering.
Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, regulations, and industry practices.
Proficiency in engineering design software and tools.
