About the Role
We are hiring a Costing Accountant for a leading cookware manufacturing company. The Costing Accountant will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting cost elements, ensuring accurate cost allocation and supporting effective decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in manufacturing costing.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, study, and analyze all elements of production costs, including materials, labor, and services.
- Track and record product quantities, specifications, and production stages.
- Prepare, analyze, and allocate cost data to produced units.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, reports, and databases.
- Monitor fixed and variable costs, including payroll, rent, raw materials, and operations.
- Compare standard vs. actual costs and prepare variance analysis reports.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare profitability and margin reports for products and departments.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Provide cost-effective solutions and recommendations to management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting major).
- 4–6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in metal manufacturing.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in teams under pressure.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
