Job Description
- Maintaining relationships with vendors or suppliers and negotiating contracts for more complex purchase orders.
- Supervising the daily activities of the purchasing function.
- Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
- Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- Reviewing bids to ensure they meet all legal requirements, including being within budget and complying with government regulations.
- Monitoring the progress of projects by communicating with project managers about issues that may arise during construction or manufacturing processes.
- Tracking all expenditures throughout the lifecycle of a project to ensure it stays within budget.
- Designing and implementing all material plans and ensuring compliance to all purchasing policies.
- Managing all communication for all engineering activities and assisting to buy all supplies and equipment and maintain quality for same.
- Initiating Supply Chain integration.
- Ensuring orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts.
- Managing and coordinating a team spread over different countries & locations.
Job Requirements
- 6 year minimum Proven work experience as a Procurement supervisor
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
