Job Description

Job Summary:

The International Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and products from global suppliers. This role ensures cost-effective and timely procurement while maintaining quality and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with international suppliers and vendors.

Conduct market research to source cost-effective and high-quality products.

Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with global suppliers to achieve cost savings.

Ensure timely procurement of direct and indirect material to support business operations.

Manage international purchasing agreements and mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, tariffs, and trade regulations.

Ensure procurement processes comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.

Monitor geopolitical and economic conditions affecting global supply chains.

Assess risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipping, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.

Track orders and ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.

Analyze procurement data and develop cost-reduction strategies.

Monitor budgets and ensure procurement activities align with financial goals.

Prepare reports on purchasing trends, savings, and supplier performance.

Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure quality standards.

Implement corrective actions for non-compliant suppliers.

Work closely with quality control teams to ensure material compliance.

Job Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.

3-5 years of experience in international procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.

Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Knowledge of international trade laws, Incoterms, and customs regulations.

Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills 

Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
