Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Traffic Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will conceptualize, design, and determine solutions for transportation planning and traffic operations, applying advanced engineering techniques to analyze traffic data and design efficient solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Function as discipline Engineer on projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
Plan, direct, and supervise the work of an engineering unit requiring manpower and financial resources.
Lead Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses on traffic patterns.
Ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations.
Prepare material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; review supplier data; witness shop tests; assist in assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
Develop operation and maintenance plans; standard operating procedures; O&M manuals; and conduct on-site training of personnel.
Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.
Perform reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM), and safety analyses.
Maintain affiliation with professional societies to stay abreast of current technologies.
Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined scope and schedule.
Assist with other administrative and technical duties.
Recommend and prepare technical papers.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Supervision Received: Supervising Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Discipline Engineering Manager
Supervision Given: CAD Drafter/Designers, Designers, Lower-level Engineers
Internal Contacts: All employees on project
External Contacts: Suppliers, Clients, Government Entities, 3rd Party Utility Providers and Stakeholders
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
10+ years of related Transportation/Traffic Planning and Design experience.
Professional Engineer registration required.
Ability to perform in a lead capacity.
Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
Thorough knowledge of current technology and future trends.
Ability to select and apply appropriate engineering software such as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) or transportation modeling for project use.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
Member of Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation or similar
PMP Certification
KSA Driving License

Job Requirements
