Job Description
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Cairo is seeking a service-minded and organized Administrative Officer and Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a team player who can maintain a positive attitude and flexibility in our forward-thinking, modern, and motivating work environment.
The selected candidate will be an integral member of both the Embassy's administrative and consular teams, providing a wide range of essential administrative support. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing the Embassy's reception area during designated hours, ensuring that visitors are welcomed in a professional and hospitable environment, and responding to calls and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications
- Preferably a university or college degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant work experience, preferably from an Embassy.
- Professional fluency in English and Arabic.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, strong assessment skills, and the ability to manage a significant workload while maintaining a professional and efficient workspace. Working closely with diplomatic staff, the candidate will ensure that tasks are completed accurately and on time with little supervision. Other essential characteristics include strong organizational and networking skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, effective utilization of local knowledge and resources, and a readiness to take on new tasks and areas of responsibility when required, as well as a high degree of flexibility. The candidate should also be able to work quickly and maintain performance under pressure.

The start date is as soon as possible. There is a three-month probationary period. The position is full-time with a 37.5-hour workweek, and is subject to Egyptian employment law, but income tax will be paid to Norway as per the Agreement of Avoidance of Double Taxation between the Kingdom of Norway and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
