Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, ensuring timely and efficient vehicle repairs and services.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Provide technical support to workshop technicians, guiding complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
Ensure all work is performed according to manufacturer standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
Liaise with service advisors and customers to provide technical explanations and repair updates.
Monitor and maintain workshop tools, equipment, and inventory, ensuring functionality and compliance.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, workflow planning, and work allocation.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring faults and recommend improvements.
Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on new automotive technologies and best practices.
Prepare and maintain detailed service reports, job cards, and technical documentation.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop.
Collaborate with spare parts department to ensure availability and correct usage of parts.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
4-7 years of experience in an automotive workshop or dealership environment.
Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools, service manuals, and OEM repair standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office and workshop management software (e.g., AutoFluent, CDK, SAP).
