Job Description
- Plan and oversee all maintenance operations on the poultry farm, including buildings, electrical systems, ventilation systems, water supply, feeding systems, and generators.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff and contractors.
- Inspect and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Maintain records of maintenance work, repairs, and equipment usage.
- Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts; coordinate procurement as needed.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and biosecurity standards.
- Support farm operations by ensuring minimal disruption due to equipment failure.
- Provide training to maintenance staff on equipment handling and safety protocols.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in poultry farms.
- Strong knowledge of farm equipment, electrical systems, water systems, and HVAC.
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Understanding of biosecurity protocols in animal farming is a plus.
