Job Title:

Project Coordinator for a Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution Project

Employer:

Based at the All Saints Anglican Cathedral, 5 Michel Lutfallah street, El-Zamalek, Cairo, Egypt

Position Type:

Full-time, 7 months, fixed contract (with possibility for extension based on performance and funding)

Reports to: CCMUP Director

Duration: from 1 August 2025 till  28 February 2026

Background:

CCMUP was established within the Anglican Diocese of Egypt, in June 2022, to promote peace, tolerance and cooperation between people from different faiths and cultural backgrounds. To know more, visit our website.

CCMUP is launching a national project in collaboration with the House of the Egyptian Family (HEF) and local partners to train interfaith peacebuilding teams and promote peaceful conflict resolution, particularly in areas with a history of sectarian tensions and gender-based violence. The project involves grassroots workshops, cultural events, and capacity-building across Cairo, El Minya, Menouf, and Alexandria.

Role Summary:

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and coordinating all activities of the Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution project. They will serve as the central point of communication between CCMUP, project partners, trainers, local teams, local assistants and participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Coordination

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the project according to the project’s timeline.
  • Coordinate the training of trainers and subsequent 9 workshops across 4 provinces.
  • Ensure each trained team organizes their respective cultural event post-workshop.
  • Liaise regularly with local stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Logistics & Planning

  • Organize logistics for trainings, workshops, travel, venues, materials, and hospitality.
  • Support trainers and local teams with needed resources for implementation.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting in Arabic & English

  • Collect attendance, feedback, and impact data from trainings and events.
  • Draft monthly progress reports and a comprehensive final project report.
  • Coordinate pre- and post-workshop surveys and ensure timely data entry and analysis.
  • Monitor outcomes related to community impact, conflict mitigation, and interfaith cooperation.
     

Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain active communication with religious leaders, local officials, and civil society actors.
  • Represent CCMUP in coordination meetings when needed.
  • Help create content for social media, newsletters, and reports highlighting project achievements.
     

Sustainability & Follow-up

  • Help plan alumni networking strategies and follow-up support for trained peacebuilding teams.
  • Coordinate post-project events such as local celebration ceremonies and evaluation activities.
     

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, Development, Peace & Conflict Studies, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of project coordination experience in peacebuilding, interfaith, civil society, or community development.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills under tight timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Ability to travel to governorates (Cairo, El Minya, Alexandria, Menouf) as required.
  • Tech savvy
  • Personal integrity, reliability, transparency and accountability

Preferred:

  • Experience working with religious or community leaders and interfaith initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Egyptian social, religious, and political context.
  • Familiarity with donor reporting and monitoring & evaluation tools.

Work Environment:

  • Based at CCMUP in Zamalek, Cairo with frequent travel to target locations.
  • Collaborative team setting with regular interaction with national and local partners.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
