Job Description
- Prepare the contractual clarifications to be submitted with the price offer in tender stage, conduct further negotiations until reaching the final agreed draft of the contract, and signature
- Responsible for administration of project contracts (Evaluation, negotiation and execution) whether standard forms or ad-hoc
- Review contractual correspondences, Notice and/or narratives for claims
- Review the claims/ counterclaims in connection with the projects
- Guide the project team through the contract closing -out stage (TOC, Retention, LGs..etc).
- Issue detailed contractual monthly reports
- Review projects time schedules
- Assist in contractual matters related to Supply / Apply Contracts / Agreements
- Assist in updating standard contract templates while identifying terms and clauses in agreements that represent risks
- Draft and review contracts, often adding or changing clauses according to the specifications of stakeholders
- Prepare Joint Venture Agreements
- Assist in reviewing the Contract documents prior to tendering
- Coordinate Project Close-Out Procedures including manuals, warranties and As-built drawings
- Evaluate and review contracts on continuing basis to ensure financial and functional requirements are met
- Prepare Contract agreements for Sub-Contracting
- Review and issue final contracts addenda / amendments drafts before submitting them for approval
- Review reports for all project correspondences received from and to consultants and employers
- Review and issue the final variation order requests before submitting them for approval
- Follow up and maintain the contractual records and correspondences in the project
- Review and issue reports for all project correspondences received from Subcontracts' and Suppliers
- Prepare claims for the extension of time and / or financial compensation
Job Requirements
- Engineering Degree (Civil Engineering preferred), CLAC (optional)
- Experience 3-5 years in relevant field
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Arabic languages
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office package
- Proficient use of Primavera P6 & AutoCAD
