Job Description
- Collaborate with Project Management, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up teams to ensure subcontractor activities align with the project schedule.
- Provide contract administration guidance and support to relevant functional groups involved in contract oversight.
- Coordinate with the Project Controls team to track and report subcontractor costs, identifying trends and working with the Site Management Team to take corrective actions as needed.
- Share lessons learned regarding the quality and effectiveness of contract administration with the Corporate Contracts Manager.
- Keep field personnel informed of contract management updates, issues, and key topics through regular bulletins.
- Manage subcontract changes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct Field Operations Reviews to evaluate the overall effectiveness of contract administration at the site level.
- Ensure subcontractors maintain commercial compliance in all business transactions and operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience and formal training in contract law, subcontract formation and administration, claims management, cost control, and scheduling.
- In-depth technical and administrative understanding of Fixed Price, Unit Price, and Cost Reimbursable contract models across all project phases.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract documentation and coordination between field and home office operations.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional project teams, including Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Legal, Accounting, and external contractors.
- Highly organized with a proactive and professional approach to managing contract challenges and mitigating commercial risks.
- Solid foundation in negotiation, accounting, or cost engineering through education or hands-on experience.
- Familiarity with project team structures, corporate policies, procedures, work practices, and relevant software systems.
- Practical knowledge of Field Supply Chain operations, particularly in temporary and site-based construction environments.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry, specifically in Supply Chain and Subcontract Management roles.
- Demonstrated progression in responsibilities and comprehensive knowledge of subcontracting processes.
- Works under management guidance to ensure consistent application of contract standards and procedures across projects.
- Proactively seeks support when needed to uphold best practices and compliance.
