Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Initiation: 
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
    • Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals.
  • Team Leadership & Management: 
    • Lead and motivate project teams, including site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure clear communication within the team.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and foster collaboration.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Budget & Cost Control: 
    • Monitor project expenditures against the approved budget, identifying and addressing variances.
    • Manage change orders and claims, negotiating with clients and subcontractors as needed.
    • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
    • Prepare and submit regular financial reports.
  • Schedule Management:
    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate project management software.
    • Monitor project progress against the schedule, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Quality Assurance & Control: 
    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is performed to specifications and industry standards.
    • Address any non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks (e.g., technical, financial, environmental, safety).
    • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
    • Monitor and review risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and other stakeholders.
    • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and transparent reporting.
    • Address client concerns and ensure their satisfaction with project progress and outcomes.
    • Prepare and present regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Procurement & Contract Management: 
    • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
    • Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
    • Negotiate favorable terms and resolve any contractual disputes.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): 
    • Champion a strong safety culture on site, ensuring compliance with all HSE policies and regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
    • Investigate and report on any incidents or accidents.
    • Promote environmental responsibility on site.
  • Documentation & Reporting: 
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, drawings, reports, and communications.
    • Prepare and submit regular progress reports, financial reports, and other required documentation.
    • Ensure proper close-out documentation upon project completion.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering construction management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience 10-15 Years in the same field, more than 7 years with the same level.
  • Certified - e.g., PMP, LEED, CMAA certification is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations (local and international standards).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Aconex).
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal aspects, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
  • Fluency in e.g., English and Arabic is a strong asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent travel to construction sites (inside and outside Egypt)
  • May require working extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
