Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment required for clinical use.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and operatory areas before and after procedures in accordance with infection control guidelines and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure that all equipment and materials are ready and available to support a smooth clinical workflow.
- Assist the dentist during a wide range of treatments and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization and decontamination processes.
- Monitor stock levels of instruments, materials, and PPE, and report when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere to all practice policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout their treatment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Nurse
- Qualified Dental Nurse with a valid registration (e.g. GDC registration in the UK or equivalent).
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
