Job Description
- Lead and manage the estimation section, overseeing all cost estimation activities for various projects.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve estimation methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Review and validate detailed cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project specifications and clarify scope.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and realistic cost assessments.
- Prepare and present estimation reports and recommendations to senior management and clients.
- Mentor, train, and supervise estimation team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Identify risks and opportunities in project estimates, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Support business development efforts by providing timely and accurate cost information for bids and proposals.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in estimation, cost engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record in leading estimation teams or sections within a dynamic organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project documents and data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of industry standards, pricing trends, and best practices in estimation.
- Experience working in an outsourcing, engineering, or construction environment is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in an office-based setting.
