Job Description
- Defining, developing, and implementing modifications of existing or new production systems:
- On a technical aspect in collaboration with the maintenance department by defining the specifications, designing the system and starting the installation
- On a quality and safety aspect by including HAZOP analysis and following FCA standards for feed production.
- On a human level by including the operators and supervisors and training them to handle the (new) installation
- Providing support in continuous improvement projects related to utilities, fermentation and drying processes, energy/water saving, industry 4.0 and Lean activities.
- Following up on new projects in terms of functional analysis, Piping and instruments diagram and total evaluation of projects.
- Reporting on progress of projects and suggesting next actions.
- Performing root cause analysis, running tests and resolving problems.
- Checking efficiency of equipment to insure they are running smoothly.
- Updating SOPs and making sure that they are applied and making changes when needed and updates information.
- Analyze critically the new processes and production flows, identify risks, and propose improvements and/or mitigation measures.
- Participate actively in the detailed engineering of the line and liaise between production and project execution teams to guarantee compliance with the technical requirements and alignment of expectations.
- Drafting test procedures, defining performance guarantees, and accordingly testing the equipment (FAT/SAT) for the new line.
- Participate in the commissioning and start-up of the new installation, write SOP and organize the training of the operators.
Job Requirements
- Engineering or master’s degree in environmental technology, biotechnology, food/feed technologies, chemistry, Mechanical engineering, or industrial processes
- 5 years experience in the same position in Food or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Structured, ability to prioritize and organize tasks
- Good reasoning ability and problem-solving mindset
- High regard for safety and Lean
