Job Description
- Process Optimization: Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, improve yields, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical expert for production processes, providing guidance and support to production teams on process parameters, equipment operation, and quality standards.
- Process Development and Implementation: Participate in developing and implementing new production processes, equipment selection, and process validation activities.
- Equipment and Tooling Management: Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of production equipment and tooling.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality department to establish and maintain robust quality control procedures and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and track the effectiveness of implemented changes. Prepare regular reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all production processes and activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Participate in safety audits and implement safety improvements.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve production goals and resolve issues.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for production processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering.
- Minimum of 2:5 years of progressive experience in a production engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean manufacturing methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen), and statistical process control (SPC).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
