Responsibilities:

Migration Planning and Execution: Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of SQL and Oracle database migrations to cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
Data Conversion and Validation: Manage the conversion of data from on-premises databases to cloud-native formats, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process.
Performance Optimization: Fine-tune database configurations and queries to achieve optimal performance in the cloud environment.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve any migration-related issues or performance bottlenecks.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of migration processes and best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with application development teams, DBAs, and other stakeholders to ensure successful migrations and minimize disruptions to business operations.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven track record of successfully migrating SQL and Oracle databases to the cloud.
- Deep understanding of database schema design, data modeling, and SQL query optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform) and their database services (e.g., Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner).
- Expertise in database migration tools and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud computing and database technologies (e.g., Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer, Oracle Certified Professional).
Experience with specific technologies: In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
Experience with automation and scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages for automating database migration tasks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
