Job Description
- Promote a proactive safety and health culture aligned with AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) standards.
- Support the implementation of HSE protocols, procedures, and incident communication.
- Conduct and assist with risk assessments, safety audits, and emergency response planning.
- Monitor and recommend improvements to the HSE management system.
- Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure medical fitness, onboarding, and HSE compliance.
- Support investigations of incidents and ensure transparent reporting aligned with AGA procedures.
- Provide input into safety planning and contribute to the integration of HSE considerations in all exploration activities.
- Assist with preparation of safety reports, data analysis, and presentations.
Job Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in mining, resources, construction, or heavy industry.
- Basic understanding of HSE management systems and relevant legislation.
- Strong knowledge of exploration-related risks and hazard control practices.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- High level of initiative, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- Medically fit to work in remote areas and willing to maintain vaccination requirements.
- Valid manual driver’s license.
- Willingness to undertake senior first aid training.
