Job Description

  •  
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnose mental health disorders.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans (including pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy).
  • Prescribe medications and track patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed.
  • Manage complex mental health cases and provide crisis intervention when required.
  • Supervise and mentor junior mental health staff (e.g., residents, nurses, social workers).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (psychologists, therapists, primary care providers) for holistic patient care.
  • Participate in case conferences and clinical reviews.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with legal/ethical standards.
  • Contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on latest psychiatric research and best practices.
  • Lead or participate in mental health awareness programs and community outreach.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff or external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Education & Licensing:
  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Psychiatry.
  • Board certification/license to practice psychiatry in [Country/Region].
  • Master’s degree or advanced training in a psychiatric subspecialty (preferred).
  • Experience:
  • 5–7+ years of clinical psychiatry experience.
  • Proven expertise in treating mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, etc.
  • Experience supervising clinical teams or trainees.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Diagnostic excellence and evidence-based treatment planning.
  • Strong communication and patient rapport-building skills.
  • Leadership ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
  • Cultural competency and empathy for diverse populations.
  • Fluent in English (written/spoken); additional languages a plus.
