Civil Site Engineer

Job Summary:

The Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering projects on-site, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. It is important that you have strong technical skills, project management experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Objectives of this role:

• Supervising and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Reporting project updates, milestones and potential risks to the project manager and key stakeholders.
• Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, survey reports and other technical documentation to guide the construction process.
• Planning and overseeing allocating resources, materials and equipment to optimize project efficiency.
• Monitoring project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and adhering to budget constraints.
• Providing technical guidance and expertise to resolve construction-related challenges.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to coordinate project tasks and schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments, identifying any issues or discrepancies.
• Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, daily logs, and site records.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates on project progress.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies on-site.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff.
