Job Description
- Clinical Care:
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments for staff and their eligible dependents.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, X-rays) to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Refer patients to specialists or other hospital departments when necessary for advanced care or consultations.
- Preventive Medicine & Health Promotion:
- Provide health education and counseling on lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, and wellness.
- Conduct routine health screenings and annual check-ups.
- Participate in and support hospital-wide health promotion initiatives and campaigns for staff.
- Administer vaccinations as per hospital policy and public health guidelines.
- Occupational Health (as applicable):
- Conduct pre-employment medical examinations.
- Assess and manage work-related injuries or illnesses, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Provide advice on occupational health matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Documentation & Administration:
- Ensure all medical documentation adheres to hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, administrative personnel, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and clinic operations.
- Prepare and submit reports on clinic activities, patient trends, and health statistics as required.
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements, guidelines, and best practices through continuous professional development.
- Participate in hospital meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Education: Master Degree/ Fellowship in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- License: Valid and current medical license to practice medicine in Egypt (Ministry of Health and Population license).
- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-graduation clinical experience, with significant experience in general practice, family medicine, or internal medicine.
- Experience working within a hospital setting or a busy clinic is highly preferred.
- Experience in occupational health or staff clinics is a strong asset.
- Skills:
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care.
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to handle emergencies and stressful situations calmly and effectively.
