JOB PURPOSE Accomplish all process safety activities in line with SHEM-02.00 requirements.To become qualified Team Leader to conduct PHA or RE-DO HAZOP and risk assessment as and when needed.Effectively participate in MOC meetings as advised. Analyze layer of protection, work environments and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent risks caused by any process deviations and in compliance with OSHA’ PSM elements.To support or carry out the responsibilities as a focal point for SAFER requirements. KEY ACOUNTABILITIES Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Redo-HAZOP and new processes.Develop and implement key performance indicators (Lagging/leading indicators) to track progress of PSM on a weekly and monthly basis.Lead process safety Risk assessment , technical audits and reviews, Process modifications/changes , HAZOP facility siting etc.Participate in development of safeguarding philosophies, critical Mechanical Integrity, Cause and Effect diagrams,PHA/HAZOPreviews,LOPA analysis, SIL analysis, PSSR checklists.SAFER Focal Audit and reportsProvide oversight for the site Management of Change (MOC) ProcessManage the site PHA schedule, recommendation and implementation planPerform Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) for determining if the risk of an accident scenario is low enough.Demonstrate how to prepare for PHA meetings, how to effectively lead the hazard review meetings, and how to document the results in a useable PHA report.SHEM-02 & SHEM-02.01 Record , Reports , Audit and SupportProcess Safety walk through program development and implementationProvide mentoring and training for site personnel REQUIREMENTS BS degree in chemical engineering or EquivalentExcellent communication skills, personal rapport and motivation are required to effectively coach internal staff and work with outside groups and agencies engaged in process safetyKnowledge of State/Federal EPA and OSHA compliance requirements.Proficient in Microsoft applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.Excellent communication skills and experience applying technology through teamwork.Knowledge and understanding of process safety principles and their application in an operating facility• Knowledge reading and interpreting P&IDs, Cause and Effect diagrams, and other diagrams• Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids, flare systems, & high/low pressure systemsCertified PHA Leader We are proud to be a diverse and an equal opportunity employer.
