Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Monitoring of Chemical Batches
- Prepare batches according to approved formulations (Batch Formulation Sheets).
- Ensure accurate usage of raw materials in correct quantities.
- Monitor temperature, mixing speed, and duration to achieve required homogeneity.
- Quality Control of Production
- Verify that batches meet technical specifications (viscosity, density, color, pH).
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for sample testing.
- Adjust formulations when needed to improve quality or reduce costs without affecting specifications.
- Supervision of Operations
- Oversee the operation of mixing equipment (Mixers, Reactors, Agitators).
- Supervise workers and technicians in the mixing section.
- Ensure compliance with safety and occupational health procedures.
- Raw Material and Inventory Management
- Coordinate with warehouses to ensure availability of required raw materials.
- Monitor material usage, waste, and spoilage.
- Prepare daily or weekly reports on consumption and production.
- Process Improvement and Development
- Participate in improving chemical formulations for better efficiency and cost reduction.
- Develop mixing processes to increase productivity and reduce production time.
- Introduce new technologies or materials into mixing operations.
- Documentation of Processes and Production
- Record all steps of the mixing process and daily production logs.
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials used and quantities produced.
- Prepare reports for management on operational efficiency and quality.
- Cross-Department Coordination
- Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Maintenance departments to resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate work schedules with supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
- Basic Monthly Salary: 750 USD or equivalent in OMR
- Production Bonus: Once factory production reaches 200 tons per month, every additional 2-ton batch will be compensated with an extra 10 USD or equivalent in OMR added to the salary.
- Overtime Pay: 2 USD per hour if additional working hours are required.
- Accommodation: Shared room for two employees or a private room within staff housing, subject to availability.
- Transportation: Provided between staff accommodation and the factory.
- Working Hours: 10 hours daily, from Saturday to Thursday.
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
- Solid knowledge of industrial chemistry, especially detergent chemistry.
- Ability to read and understand chemical formulas and operational documents.
- Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
- Understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to use production-related software (e.g., ERP, Excel).
