Job Description
- Recording all journal entries in accordance with accounting standards
- Performing monthly and quarterly GL reconciliations
- Supporting the monthly close process to ensure accurate reporting
- Maintaining and updating the chart of accounts
- Reviewing and reconciling intercompany accounts
- Assisting in preparing financial statements and reports
- Ensuring GL compliance with IFRS/local GAAP
- Maintaining supporting documentation and audit trails for GL entries
- Participating in internal and external audits (GL-focused only)
- Proactively identifying and correcting discrepancies or errors in ledger data
Job Requirements
Work Experience: 2+ years in GL accounting or related roles
Educational: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and IFRS
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP and Odoo
- Knowledge of financial reporting and closing processes in ERP environments
Behavioral Skills: - Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Strong organization and documentation skills
- Ability to manage deadlines under pressure
- Discreet and responsible with sensitive financial data
Computer Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and advanced formulas)
- Proficient in using SAP for general ledger accounting and reporting
- Experience using Odoo for financial postings, reconciliations, and system-based reports
