Job Summary
The Head of Business Development is a senior leadership position responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive growth and expand the Saudi German Academy's market presence within the healthcare education and training sector. This role involves leading all business development activities, identifying new opportunities, and building strategic partnerships to increase enrollment, revenue, and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve and exceed growth targets.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and areas for expansion.
- Create and manage a robust sales pipeline, forecasting revenue and preparing regular reports for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with academic and marketing teams to develop new programs and promotional strategies that meet market demand.
Partnership and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including hospitals, clinics, universities, medical associations, and pharmaceutical companies.
- Negotiate and close deals for training programs, workshops, and other educational services.
- Represent the Saudi German Academy at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility and forge new connections.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure team objectives are met.
- Establish clear performance metrics (KPIs) and provide regular feedback to the team.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with a medical background (e.g., Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Science) being highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in business development or a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, secure, and grow new business opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with CRM software and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
