Job Description

Job Summary:

The International Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and products from global suppliers. This role ensures cost-effective and timely procurement while maintaining quality and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with international suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct market research to source cost-effective and high-quality products.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with global suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Ensure timely procurement of direct and indirect material to support business operations.
  • Manage international purchasing agreements and mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, tariffs, and trade regulations.
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor geopolitical and economic conditions affecting global supply chains.
  • Assess risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipping, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
  • Analyze procurement data and develop cost-reduction strategies.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure procurement activities align with financial goals.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing trends, savings, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure quality standards.
  • Implement corrective actions for non-compliant suppliers.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to ensure material compliance.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in international procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of international trade laws, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
