We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in logistics or the shipping industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting financial decision-making, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.

Responsibilities:

Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable

Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

Identify discrepancies and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Provide technical support and advice to management accountants

Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

Supervise and manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers

Participate in financial standards setting and forecasting processes

Contribute to department goal-setting and strategic planning

Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule

Assist with tax audits and tax return preparation

Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance

Plan, assign, and review the work of accounting staff

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
