Job Description
- Track project costs (labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment) against budgets.
- Allocate indirect costs (overhead, equipment depreciation) appropriately.
- Analyze under/ over-billing to ensure POC revenue recognition with partnership with operations, planning, and Technical Office teams.
- Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy against contract terms.
- Track purchase orders and ensure proper cost coding and implement cost control measures.
- Improve cost accounting processes through automation.
- Update cost forecasts based on progress and change orders.
- Prepare monthly cost reports (variances, WIP, gross margin analysis).
- Maintain accurate records for financial reporting and support month-end close with accruals and reconciliations.
- Advise management on pricing, profitability, cost strategies and Identify cost-saving opportunities (labor productivity, material waste).
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s in accounting/finance (CMA, PFA, MBA is plus).
- Experience: 7+ years in cost accounting (Construction experience is mandatory).
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, ERP systems, cost modeling. (dynamics is preferable)
- Analytical Skills: Strong data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, communication, leadership.
