Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Office Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to support construction projects from the office. This role includes the preparation of system designs, technical documentation, and shop drawings, as well as coordination with on-site teams and other engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate will ensure that all work is executed according to the design, specifications, and construction standards while providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Systems
Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements
Shop Drawing Preparation:
Develop and review shop drawings for mechanical and electrical systems based on project specifications and design drawings. Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Coordination with Engineering Disciplines:
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other departments to ensure that mechanical and electrical systems are fully integrated into the overall project design.
Bill of Quantities (BOQ):
Prepare and review bills of quantities (BOQ) for mechanical and electrical works. Ensure that all materials are quantified accurately and meet project specifications and requirements.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction field, with a focus on technical office roles and mechanical/electrical system design.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting and modeling software (BIM tools).
- Previous experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar technical role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, standards, and construction practices.
