Job Description
- Prepare and review shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material submittals for mechanical systems (HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, etc.).
- Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to avoid conflicts.
- Conduct quantity surveying and prepare BOQs for mechanical works.
- Ensure that all drawings and submissions comply with contract specifications, project requirements, and local/international codes.
- Follow up on submission approvals from consultants and client representatives.
- Provide technical support to procurement by preparing technical comparisons and vendor evaluations.
- Attend technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Track and document changes and variations in the design.
- Maintain proper records of shop drawings, approvals, RFIs, and transmittals.
- Assist the planning team with inputs related to mechanical work timelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university (preferably a public university).
- Additional training or certifications in MEP systems, HVAC design, or AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.
