Job Description

  • Perform and supervise mechanical inspections at various CKD stages (chassis, body, engine mountings, etc.).
  • Monitor assembly line processes to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings and product standards.
  • Conduct layered process audits (LPA) to verify process adherence.
  • Monitor process performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze trends.
  • Ensure application of torque tools and fastener control standards
  • Investigate mechanical non-conformities, define root causes using 5 Whys / Fishbone / 8D.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and logistics teams to apply effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare quality reports, inspection checklists, and process control sheets.
  • Ensure all quality records are maintained and updated according to IATF requirements.
  • Participate in Quality Gate reviews and audits
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support implementation of lean manufacturing and Kaizen practices on the CKD line.
  • Support customer quality audits and respond to customer complaints related to CKD mechanical assembly.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier parts related to mechanical systems and propose improvements.

 

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical quality engineering within an automotive CKD environment.
    • Hands-on experience with quality control tools, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
    • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
    • Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and APQP.
  • Certifications (preferred):
    • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
  • Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
    • Knowledge of GD&T, mechanical drawings, and torque specifications.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
