Job Summary:
The General Manager at Mr. Tailor will be responsible for overseeing all departments within the company, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, fashion industry knowledge, and exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage and motivate a diverse team to achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to all departments, including sales, marketing, finance, HR, and operations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration across all departments.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor and ensure efficient operation of all departments, addressing any issues promptly.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
Sales and Marketing:
- Oversee the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to adjust strategies and improve product offerings.
Financial Management:
- Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure financial goals are met by monitoring expenses and optimizing revenue streams.
Human Resources:
- Oversee HR functions including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure a safe and inclusive workplace.
Customer Service:
- Ensure that high standards of customer service are maintained across all customer touchpoints.
- Address customer complaints and feedback effectively to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Product Management:
- Oversee product development and inventory management to ensure product availability and quality.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to bring new products to market.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the company’s assets and reputation.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of departmental and company-wide initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports for the CEO and board of directors on operational and financial performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Fashion Retail, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Maximum age: 40 years
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the retail fashion industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple departments and leading diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, sales, marketing, and financial management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions: - This position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- The role may involve occasional travel to different store locations or industry events.
