Role Summary
The Senior Travel Consultant will answer foreign guests requests and lead other members of the team, ensuring timely responses, exceptional service quality, and smooth coordination with other departments. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of Egypt’s travel destinations, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Answer guest B2B and B2C requests and follow up with them.
- Lead, supervise, and support the Travel Advisors team to ensure consistent high-quality service
- Assign daily tasks and incoming inquiries fairly and follow-up on tasks efficiently across the team
- Coach and mentor advisors to maintain deep destination knowledge and client engagement skills
- Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, resolve challenges, and drive performance
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities including B2B partnerships, corporate accounts, and direct clients
- Follow up with leads via email, calls, and digital platforms to convert interest into bookings
- Manage the full sales funnel using CRM tools, ensuring accurate tracking and performance reporting
- Build long-term relationships with international travel agents, tour operators, and partners
- Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets
- Skills to prepare flawless quotations for requested tours.
Client Experience Oversight
- Monitor and review all client communications and proposals to ensure they meet company standards
- Provide guidance on creating detailed, customized itineraries tailored to client needs
- Serve as a point of escalation for high-profile or complex travel inquiries
- Follow up with clients post-travel to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback
- Problem solving skills in case of emergencies and decision making situations
Process Optimization & Reporting
- Track team KPIs, such as response time, conversion rate, and client satisfaction
- Report on team performance, lost opportunities, and areas of improvement
- Analyze reasons behind delays or unconverted leads and implement corrective actions
- Improve workflow systems and ensure efficient use of CRM and task management tools
Interdepartmental Coordination
- Coordinate with the Marketing department, Sales, Operations, and Product Development teams to ensure smooth booking and travel execution
- Collaborate on new package development based on client demand and advisor feedback
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date information is shared between departments
Training & Quality Assurance
- Train new hires and conduct ongoing training for the advisory team
- Maintain an internal knowledge base with updated destination content, supplier info, and service guidelines
- Monitor advisor communication tone, accuracy, and personalization across emails and proposals
Market Awareness & Innovation
- Stay informed on travel trends, client preferences, and industry best practices
- Contribute ideas for new travel products or services that align with Dahabiya Nile Sailing mission
- Assist in representing the company at trade events, exhibitions, or online collaborations if needed
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in travel advising or tourism management
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong destination knowledge of Egypt and regional travel logistics
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus (German, Spanish, or French)
- Proficient in CRM systems, digital communication platforms, and MS Office/Google Workspace
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about travel and cultural connection
