Job Description
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery terms for raw materials and packaging.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock.
- Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Maintain and update supplier databases, records, and documentation.
- Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies with suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements and forecast future needs.
- Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends and new suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant quality, safety, and sustainability standards in procurement activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing orders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of local and international supplier markets.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and HACCP is an advantage.
