Job Description
The Purchasing Specialist plays a key role in supporting Unyva’s supply chain by sourcing and securing raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role requires close coordination with suppliers, internal departments, and the supply chain team to ensure smooth procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers for materials, services, and packaging based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time supply and proper documentation.
- Work closely with planning and production teams to ensure materials availability according to schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, supplier performance, and inventory movement.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and ensure best purchasing terms while maintaining quality.
- Handle documentation related to procurement including service entries, invoices, and contracts.
- Assist in resolving supply issues, delays, or discrepancies with internal teams and suppliers.
- Collaborate with finance, quality, and warehouse to ensure full purchasing process alignment.
Job Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (FMCG or manufacturing experience preferred).
- Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.
- Based in Cairo, with flexibility to visit suppliers or warehouses when needed.
