Job Description
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery terms for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors to achieve cost savings and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock and avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Process purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods in accordance with company requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and trends relevant to the health and nutrition industry.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and related documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and quality assurance teams to resolve supply chain issues and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within the health, nutrition, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, quality standards, and best practices in purchasing.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
