Job Description
- Inspecting Welds: Examining welded joints to ensure they meet specifications for quality and structural integrity.
- Quality Control: Monitoring the fabrication and installation of piping systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of inspections, test results, and any deviations from standards.
- Testing: Conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, or dye penetrant testing to detect defects in welds.
- Compliance: Ensuring that welding procedures and practices comply with relevant codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, and API.
- Safety: Identifying and addressing safety hazards related to welding and piping activities.
- Communication: Working closely with engineers, project managers, and welders to communicate inspection results and resolve quality issues.
- Problem-solving: Investigating and resolving quality issues that arise during the fabrication and installation of piping systems.
Job Requirements
- B.S degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least four (4) years of experience in relevant inspection discipline. OR Two (2) years industrial/technical College Diploma plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant inspection experience.
- Good knowledge of applicable international standards
- Working knowledge of quality system standards and methods
- Holds a valid international certifications as a welding inspector in AWS or CSWIP
- Shall have adequate knowledge of Nondestructive testing (NDT) such as MT, PT, UT & VT and RTFI
- Professionalism - General Appearance & Communication Etiquette
- Willing to travel
