Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all Quality Control (QC) activities, providing support to QC Technicians as needed.
  • Develop, revise, and submit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for approval when necessary.
  • Conduct and supervise testing of SASO samples as outlined in specified monthly reports.
  • Perform and monitor testing for:
  • Stability
  • Returned Finished Goods
  • Colors
  • Catalogues
  • Colorants
  • Finished Goods
  • Raw Materials (RMs)
  • Packaging
  • Samples for all company departments
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operational condition of laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Finalize daily test reports for finished products, authorize batch tickets, and promptly communicate results to production, while assisting with troubleshooting quality-related issues.
  • Address and investigate customer and supplier complaints, including verification, testing, and reporting.
  • Prioritize testing activities in the quality control laboratory based on urgency and importance.
  • Select and manage Standard (STD) samples by batch number to ensure consistency and verify that test results meet required specifications.
  • Engage in continuous cost reduction initiatives, including:
  • Optimizing electricity and water use
  • Managing leftover samples
  • Minimizing packaging waste
  • Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions as recommended.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety rules and instructions, maintaining cleanliness and proper upkeep of the workspace and equipment.
  • Document all laboratory activities and prepare regular reports.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the direct manager.
  • Fully commit to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and cease any activities that do not comply with these standards.
  • Ensure that all supervised employees strictly follow HSE instructions.
  • Exercise decision-making authority on actions impacting environmental, occupational health, and safety considerations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Chemist.

Experience

  • 3-5 years’ of experience in paints industry.

Technical Experience

  • Auditing skill.
  • ISO knowledge.
  • Good level of English.
  • MS office skills.
