Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic   Trade Marketing Specialist   to join our dynamic team in Cairo, Egypt. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with limited experience in trade marketing to grow their career in the fast-paced FMCG industry, specifically within the detergents and cosmetics sectors. The ideal candidate will support the development and execution of trade marketing strategies to drive brand visibility, sales, and market share.

Key Responsibilities: 

1.   Trade Marketing Support:   

  • Assist in developing and implementing trade marketing plans aligned with the company’s overall marketing and sales strategies. 
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective execution of trade marketing activities at the point of sale (POS). 

2.   POS Material Development:   

  •  Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of point-of-sale materials (e.g., posters, banners, shelf talkers) to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. 
  • Ensure all POS materials are aligned with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. 

3.   Promotional Campaigns:   

  • Support the planning and execution of promotional campaigns, including discounts, bundling, and special offers. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and provide recommendations for improvement. 

4.   Market Analysis:   

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the detergents and cosmetics sectors. 
  • Provide insights to the marketing and sales teams to optimize trade marketing strategies. 

5.   Retailer Collaboration:   

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and distributors to ensure effective implementation of trade marketing initiatives. 
  • Work closely with the sales team to address retailer needs and resolve any issues related to trade marketing activities. 

6.   Reporting and Analysis:   

  •  Track and report on the performance of trade marketing activities, including sales data, market share, and ROI. 
  •    Prepare regular reports for management to assess the success of trade marketing efforts. 

7.   Budget Management:   

  •    Assist in managing the trade marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 1-3 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or a related role (experience in FMCG, especially detergents or cosmetics, is a plus). 
  • Basic understanding of trade marketing principles and practices. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights. 
  • Creative thinker with a passion for marketing and brand building. 
  • Work between on-side and out-side conditions.
