Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: To sell the company’s Protein products through van sales to meet annual sales targets and objectives and to follow up with the customers regularly for timely payment of dues in accordance with the company credit policy and to take control of debts. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Core Accountabilities Vend the company’s protein products through van sales to meet or exceed the annual sales targets and objectives. Carry out routine checks on the van before, during and after the sales run to ensure that it is in good running condition at all times. Ensure that any problems of the van or cooling unit are brought to the attention and corrected by the workshops to ensure effective operations. Collect and check the stock load with the stock controller and verify it with the sales supervisor to ensure that the right amount of stock is taken for distribution. Determine the stock levels and returns in each store and ensure that product stock is replenished to the minimum stock level in each store on the route to meet certain standards of performance. Assist the merchandising team to merchandise the products in each store to ensure that company products are properly placed and displayed for maximum impact on the customer. Identify from each store retail issues like product movement, customer complaints and observations to enable the resolution of any pending problems for the future. Inspect company refrigeration units installed at various stores and supermarkets to find out whether they are being used to carry only Nadec products to protect the company’s investment in these units and ensure proper merchandising. Check with the customers regularly for timely payment of dues in line with the company credit policy and to control debts. Reconcile cash and debit slips with the stock controller to ensure that all stocks sold are properly accounted for. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures • Adhere with direction for the development and implementation of organizational unit’s policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient and effective operation. • Comply with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment. JOB CONTEXT Van Sales Man works in NADEC assigned areas and will travel to other Nadec Locations as per business needs. Knowledge of van selling and merchandising techniques and processes.
