Job Description
- Study, analysis and evaluate tender documents from a technical point of view with Engineering teams.
- Inquiry, consult and coordinate with client & consultant representatives for specification/ technical and BOQ clarifications required for tenders and proposals with Engineering team.
- Approve Tenders / costing policies, identify risk factors and produce a work plan with top management.
- Review the project cost estimates in terms of the required material as per bill of quantities (BOQ), amount of work, material equipment/ and manpower requirements during the tendering phase; this includes all systems, products and services to client specifications/ requirements.
- Finalize estimation of all direct and indirect costs and consolidates tender documents for management review and approval.
- Generate weekly tender status reports highlighting progress on concerned tenders.
- Review and approve monthly progress reports conducted by the tender team highlighting tender wins/ losses (indicating reasons) for review and verification of management.
- Prepare lessons learned documents at the end of each Tender.
- Attend pre-tender meetings or any meeting related to proposal and tendering team.
- Build successful collaborative relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain the best prices
- Provides all the necessary project clarifications/ information upon project award to the operation team as per the project budget; advises the operation team on contractual rights, remedies which has been taken into consideration during tendering. (Hand over meeting after awarding).
Job Requirements
- 5 years' experience in the oil & gas sector (Electrical engineering)
- Experience in fire alarm systems and fire, gas systems, automation systems, and firefighting systems.
- Prepare technical & commercial proposals in compliance with the engineering standards, codes, specifications, design instructions, etc.
- Prepare and organize tender documentation and ensure compliance with tendering guidelines and procedures.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and data necessary for tender submissions.
- Conduct meetings with clients and suppliers to achieve tender requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials to support tendering activities and decision-making.
- Conduct comparison studies for suppliers’ quotations and develop breakdown cost estimations.
