Job Description
Financial Controller Manager responsibilities include:
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Confirming the accuracy of reports, income statements, and balance sheets
- Evaluating and managing risk
- Directing and planning the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activities and financial positions in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations
- Responsible for financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control
- Coordinating auditing processes
- Responsible for financial reporting to management and the board of directors, as well as compliance with government regulations.
- Analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue
- Assist in compliance audits and monitoring internal controls to ensure that everyone does their job correctly.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
- 15+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Advanced degree in accounting
- CPA, IFRS or CMA preferred
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Manufacturing industry background is preferred
