The division’s mission is to present these topics through its iconic venues, immersive exhibitions and inspiring programmes that inspire learning, agency and creativity, and instill a sense of purpose and fun for visitors of all ages and walks of life.Opportunity ResponsibilitiesAs the Head of Asset Management, your mission is to ensure the optimal functioning of large, complex buildings like Terra, treating them as living entities where every component must operate efficiently for overall performance. Your role encompasses safeguarding equipment maintenance, retaining critical knowledge in-house, and managing operational and capital expenditure (CapEx) costs effectively.The main responsibilities for this role include: Strategic ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive preventive and reactive maintenance strategies aligned with organizational goals and prioritize maintenance activities based on criticality and impact on operational efficiency to optimize resource allocation.Establish robust vendor management processes to ensure seamless collaboration with outsourced service providers and evaluate performance metrics regularly to maintain service quality and minimize disruptions to operations.Strategically plan transitions between outsourced companies to safeguard knowledge retention and operational continuity.Lead the development of medium and long-term capital expenditure plans that align with organizational objectives and budgetary constraints, by prioritizing investments in technology upgrades and infrastructure improvements to minimize maintenance costs and enhance operational efficiency.Operational responsibilitiesImplement a centralized knowledge management system to facilitate quick and easy access to building and equipment information, ensuring that relevant stakeholders have access to up-to-date details for informed decision-making and efficient problem-solving.Integrate sustainability principles into all aspects of building management, including energy consumption, water usage, waste management, and materials procurementDevelop and implement initiatives to reduce environmental impacts and enhance the building's eco-efficiency.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring environmental impacts and develop monitoring mechanisms to track progress.Continuously analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to reduce environmental footprints while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Skills8+ years of experience in a leadership role within the museum or cultural sector as well as:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or in a related fieldRobust technical expertise coupled with strong organizational skills.Energetic, hands-on approach with a willingness to be actively involved in field operations.
