UTEC, part of Acteon Group, is one of the world's largest independent offshore and onshore survey providers. We provide a wide range of survey, positioning and data management services using the most advanced equipment and techniques. The data we generate provides our clients with the information they need to make critical, well informed, business decisions.UTEC is currently seeking to hire a Senior Surveyor on a full-time, permanent basis for their Offshore team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.The Senior Surveyor is UTEC's senior representative on a watch, reporting to the Party Chief or senior representative on the vessel. They must ensure that all work is conducted in the best interests of UTEC and the Client. The Senior Surveyor must thoroughly understand work specifications, project requirements, and client objectives. They are responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of the project, as well as for Quality Assurance.Duties/Responsibilities:Supervise survey operations ensuring safe working practices at all times and with due regard to contractual requirements, scope of work, procedures and regulationsManage mobilisation and demobilisation activities with regard to safety of personnel and assetsEnsure all systems are functioning in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company procedures to effectively conduct the scope of workEnsure collection, collation, QC and distribution of all survey data relating to the scope of work as per project procedures and company proceduresAdvise onshore management, company and client representatives when deviation from the approved procedure is necessary and record through the Management of Change ProcedureCompile operational / field reporting in a concise manner and in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company proceduresComplete final reporting and data transfer / backup in accordance with accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company proceduresEffectively communicate with client representatives and company representatives onshoreEnsure all personnel in the offshore team understand their roles and responsibilitiesConduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reports and provide specific performance data/feedback to supervisors of non-direct reports assigned to your projectsRequirements:More than 5 years of Offshore Survey experience handling either of these types of work Construction Support, Pipelay, IRM, Geophysical Survey, Wind FarmMinimum Bachelor's degree holder in the field Survey/Geodetics/GeomaticsFamiliar with NaviPac Online SoftwareExperience in Deep Water Construction Survey and LBL Operations is a plusExcellent Written and Verbal communication skillsAble to work in a team environmentAnalytical and problem-solving skillsFully vaccinated against COVID-19, having received both initial jabs and booster shots
